Adding Text Based Questions
Let’s create a Text based questions where the answer has to be typed in by the student.
1. Select Add question and select Text.
2. Insert the question Which Microsoft 365 app will you use to store your documents?
3. Fill in the correct answer OneDrive
4. To allow for alternative answers, add the option of Microsoft OneDrive by clicking on Add answer. Students can now enter OneDrive or Microsoft OneDrive.
5. Assign a point of 2 to this question and ensure the Required option is toggled to on.
6. Let’s add a math question by clicking Add Question and selecting Text.
Note: Choice questions can also be formatted as math questions.
7. From the additional options select Maths, this will provide an additional field for an equation.
8. Enter the question Solve the following
9. Click on Enter an equation
10. From the equation interface insert 45÷9 and press OK
11. Click on Correct answer and enter 5
12. Select on additional options and select Restrictions, this will automatically assign the Number restriction. Additional restrictions can be chosen depending on the type of answer.
13. Assign a point of 1 and ensure the Required option is toggled on.
14. Let’s add a question with an image, click on Add question and select Text.
15. Click on the media icon, this will open the Insert media dialog.
16. Select the Image option and this will provide you with multiple ways of inserting an image, which includes Image Search, OneDrive and Upload. Remember to that using images from the internet has copyright implications.
17. For this exercise we will use Bing search to insert an image, search for OneNote under the Image Search option.
18. Select an image that represents the OneNote icon and then select Add.
19. As the question insert What program does this image represent?
20. Add the answers of OneNote and Microsoft OneNote.
21. Assign a point of 1 and ensure the Required option is toggled on.
