myStudentSkillHub is an innovative open learning portal hosted by the Academic Development Open Virtual Hub (ADOVH), a pioneering initiative under the Department of Tuition Support and Facilitation of Learning (DTSFL) at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Our Story
ADOVH was established in 2020 as part of a Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) COVID-19 Responsive Grant, addressing the urgent need for accessible and flexible learning solutions during the pandemic. Since then, our initiative has continued to thrive, supported by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) through the University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP) Grant.
What We Offer
myStudentSkillHub is designed to empower learners with essential digital competencies for success in online learning and technology-mediated workplaces. Through this portal, you can:
- Access open courses tailored to your learning needs.
- Enrol in courses with certificates of participation, certificates of completion, or digital badges—awarded upon the successful completion of compulsory tasks and activities (in selective courses).
- Explore selective courses offered in collaboration with external partners (national and international).
