Part 1: Navigating and Utilizing Basic Browser Features ▼
  1. Open Your Web Browser:
    • Start by opening your preferred web browser (e.g., Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox)
    • Locate the web browser icon on your desktop or taskbar and click to open it
    • Ensure your browser is up-to-date by checking the settings or visiting the browser's website
  2. Using the Address Bar:
    • Click on the address bar at the top of the browser window
    • Type the URL of a website you wish to visit (e.g., https://www.unisa.ac.za/) and press Enter
    • Observe how the browser retrieves and displays the content of the website
  3. Working with Tabs:
    • Open a new tab by clicking the "+" icon next to the current tab or pressing Ctrl + T (Cmd + T on macOS)
    • In the new tab, visit a different website (e.g., https://www.khanacademy.org/)
    • Repeat the process to open a third tab with another website (e.g., https://www.wikipedia.org/)
