You have been asked to mentor a group of university students. They are facing their first assignment and you’ve decided to help them by having a workshop on “How to prepare for an assignment”. You plan to spend about 5 – 10 minutes on the presentation, before leading the discussion. The mentoring programme is supported by the university therefore, you need to adhere to the best practices for a presentation in an academic environment.

You have sourced the article below and its content will be used as the basis for your workshop. It will be referred to as the source document in this course.

1. Firstly, you are going to meet the local students on campus and will present your workshop in one of the classrooms.  
2. Prepare the presentation for the event in the classroom.
3. Thereafter, you have to prepare for a repeat of the workshop online using Microsoft Teams. 
4. Adapt the presentation so that it can be used online.
