Microsoft Teams is a collaborative platform for working with small teams. The app allows you to:
- Chat with other members of the Unisa Tenant
- Create teams to:
- Create conversations in channels.
- Collaborate and share files.
- Add apps from various sources to create a central work environment.
- The Calendar allows for the creation of:
- General Meetings
- Group Meetings
- Live Events
- Webinars
- Add apps to your Teams app such as:
- Forms
- OneNote
- SharePoint
- Flip (Formerly Flipgrid)
Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, you'll be able to:
- Structure Teams through channels, tabs, files, and apps
- Determine the ideal structure for each Team
- Understand how to create and share new Teams
- Explain how to customize Teams with tabs like apps
- Collaborate with colleagues through live Teams meetings and OneNote
- Select and create the right type of team for specific use cases
- Understand how to make the most of the OneNote Notebook in each type of team
- Identify features to optimize collaboration and accessibility in Teams
- Work collaboratively with Staff and PLC Teams
- Recognize the differences between Staff Teams and PLC Teams
- Describe use cases for each type of team
- Understand how to organize people, files, and communications in Teams
- Converse, collaborate and build a community in Teams
- Identify ways to build a class community using Microsoft Teams
- Explain how Teams facilitates conversations and collaboration
- Describe how to use the Class Notebook as a central location for course content
- Assemble learners and staff with Microsoft Teams meetings
- Identify ways to create, share, and launch virtual meetings in Microsoft Teams
- Define multiple purposes and uses of virtual meetings
- Describe Microsoft Teams features for security and sharing content
