This course is for anyone interested in improving their basic digital literacy skills and who wants to learn more about information and communication technologies, navigating online sites and improving your online interaction with online tools.
This OER was developed by the Unisa Western Cape campus as a deliverable of the Department of Higher Education and Training’s (DHET) University Compact with Council (CwC) project, funded by the University of South Africa (UNISA) The purpose of this OER is to develop a new generation of students that are academically skilled to function in an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) environment.
The focus of the different sections aims to enhance the learning experience in, especially open learning environments. The technologies focus on the online learning platform of Sakai (myModules in the Unisa context) and the cloud platform of Microsoft Office 365.
In this course, you will learn word processing with the popular word processor programme, Microsoft Word. We will be learning Ms Word through a practical tutorial and will be covering the additional skills, terminology and requirements as we progress.
The lessons and some of the activities can be completed on this platform, but an Office 365 account will be required to use the apps provided on the Office 365 platform. Start with the lesson on Accessing Office 365 Portal to create or access your Office 365 account.
