There is a difference between accent and pronunciation.  An accent means that you speak more than one language, so when you enunciate the word in your second or third language, the stresses of syllables might be placed on other parts of the word. Up till now, you have created a slide show and written a script in possibly your second or third language. 


Errors in pronunciation might distract the audience and make it difficult for them to follow your presentation. Fillers can then be an indication that there is a problem with pronunciation because one often stumbles before saying a difficult word.


For example, you may have a problem saying category

•    In Google, type define category

This is what would appear on the screen:


 If you click on the speaker icon, the acceptable pronunciation of the word will be heard.

Use the define function to find the correct pronunciation for the word esophagus.


Rehearse with Coach is good preparation for both online and face-to-face environments. However, there are additional factors to consider in a face-to-face environment such as body language, displaying confidence when presenting, having a backup plan, how to dress for the presentation and how to address questions asked by the audience.
